Abington Youth Football

Football Player & Cheerleader Code of Conduct

 

In order to promote good sportsmanship and ensure a competitive but fun environment at all games and events, Abington Youth Football has developed this Code of Conduct for Football Players and Cheerleaders.  It is required that each football player or cheerleader read and sign this form in order to participate in the Abington Youth Football Program.  No uniforms will be issued until a signed copy of the Code of Conduct is provided.  In order to ensure that the participant understands the following codes, it is required that a parent reviews theCode of Conduct with their child and also signs the form.

 

I, the undersigned, have read and agree to abide by the following Code of Conduct at any event associated with the Abington Youth Football Program.

1. I will inform the coach of any disability that may affect my safety or the safety of others.

 

2. I will attend all practices and games (unless previously discussed with my coach) and will arrive by the designated time.

 

3. I will adhere to the policies of Abington Youth Football and the Old Colony Youth Football League.

 

4. I will treat other players, coaches, officials and spectators with respect regardless of race, color, religion, sex or ability.

 

5. I will respect the coaches and officials during games and will never question or confront the coaches or officials on the playing field.

 

6. I will always demonstrate good sportsmanship by showing respect and courtesy to all those involved in Abington Youth Football events.

 

7. I will never show disrespect to any coach, official, player by booing, taunting, refusing to shake hands or using profane language or gestures at any Abington Youth Football event.

 

8. I will not encourage others to behave in an unsportsmanshiplike manner.

 

9. I will play by the rules and resolve all conflict in a positive manner.

 

10. I will never use alcohol, drugs or tobacco

 

11. I agree that by signing this Code of Conduct that I will abide by Abington Youth Football and Old Colony Youth Football League rules.  Any violation will result in disciplinary action that could include, but is not limited to the following:  verbal warning, written warning, game suspension or season suspension.

 

 

Remember that you as a participant are representing your town, your team, yourself and your family.
